Baby Jewelry. "Goo-ree" as my two year old says. She has seen me making jewelry her whole life, at first strapped to my chest, then on my back, and now from her pack'n play in the studio. Now that she's nearly two and a half, it's not like she really hangs out while I work, the way I imagined it would be. No, she needs me to engage with her almost constantly, so while she knows I make jewelry in the studio, we don't actually spend that much time in there together anymore. I work nap times (when they happen) and night times, and sometimes, just sometimes she gets to watch a show so I can get something done. That said, she is very interested in my jewelry and I told her I'd make her her very own piece. She said a "bace-et" would be good. I gave her some stone options and she picked one out. With some help from my husband we measured her wrist circumference. I went from there. Here's how it turned out:
