BLACK LIVES MATTER + What you can do right now

Black Lives Matter.

If you’re wondering where you fit in to this moment of intense unrest, here’s an excellent place to start understanding the white supremacy culture we ALL live in.
https://www.dismantlingracism.org/white-supremacy-culture.html

I care deeply about social and racial justice and I cannot separate that from my work. We all have a role to play in dismantling systemic racism. While making jewelry isn’t directly related, running my own business allows me to make time and direct resources to fighting for racial equality.

Now is not the time to hide behind comforts or complacency. Start learning, self-reflect, talk to your family and friends. But don’t expect people of color to be your teachers, they have enough on their plate, so take responsibility for your own education. We will all make mistakes and unintentionally offend in the journey to being better accomplices to Black, Indigenous and other people of color. This work is uncomfortable. It’s OK.
Lean in, listen and learn. Keep humility, vulnerability and love in your heart.

A few more informational links are below. Remember that giving money and time are important ways to engage in addition to voting and protesting.
