Inspired by the lovely light green variscite stones in my collection, this month's main shop update is full of hues of sage, apple green, moss and olive. You'll find Poseidon Variscite, Starfox Variscite, Tree Frog Variscite, and Broken Arrow Varisicte to name a few.

These two handfuls (plus one more handful!) of jewelry will land in the online shop at 2pm PST on Saturday, June 20 right here.

Variscite is a cousin to turquoise, often found in similar places, but of a different mineral composition. I personally LOVE variscite (more than most turquoise!). There's a slightly ethereal quality to many variscites. They often have the most stunning matrix patterns. I find a depth, richness and sheen to these stones that only the highest grade turquoise has (as opposed to a flatness often found in lower grade turquoise). Also, much of the variscite I purchase is directly from the families who mine and cut it.
