In this month's spotlight of Black, Indigenous & People of Color (BIPOC)-owned jewelry businesses I am delighted to introduce Marina Cordova, the incredibly creative and vibrant soul who founded Luna & Saya. Luna & Saya’s jewelry line features bold and colorful polymer clay, acrylic, wood and resin earrings. I’m excited to share Marina’s gorgeous images below that really showcase her command of these totally fun jewelry mediums.

Marina is a Tucson-based artist with the most wondrous way of incorporating the beautiful Arizona landscape and her Mexican culture into the designs she makes. From Talavera tile patterns to the colors of red rock formations, Marina’s work always has hints of what inspires her.

The compositions and shapes she comes up with are whimsical and exciting. There really is a little bit of magic in her designs- just as she intends- which speaks to Marina's own charm and buoyant personality. Once you start to follow along on her Instagram, you'll quickly see that she is such a sweet, spiritual soul with a great sense of humor, too. She frequently creates brand new work and usually makes lively behind-the-scenes videos in her Instagram stories. Marina is super innovative with her materials and lately has been mimicking stones out of polymer clay, making really impressive faux crystal quartz! You can see the earrings made out of this material here.

The custom colors she mixes with polymer clay and the textures she comes up with are so dreamy. Just looking through her Instagram, which you should do right now if you haven't already, makes you (ok, it makes ME) want to get one of every pair of her earrings and live your best life! I mean come on, look at this fabulous pic!
