A little bit retro, a lot groovy, these whimsical, summery, daisy-like hoops are SO FUN. There is wonderful movement and eye-catching-ness going on. The "petals" are made of 14k goldfill and the stone setting is sterling silver (I am loving the mixed metal look right now). The hoop is silver as well with a tiny goldfill flower soldered on one end to help keep the flower in place. These are actually two earrings in one: flowers can slide off and you have a pair of everyday hoops! I make the hoops from hollow tube, so these are lightweight - about 4grams each. The center stone, Poseidon variscite, is from Nevada, and I purchase it directly from the family who mines and cuts it.
Goldfill is a layer of 14k gold bonded over a core of base metal, usually brass. Goldfill is more durable than plating and will not flake off. It is susceptible to tarnishing but can be easily cleaned with a polishing cloth. One polishing cloth is included with your order.
Measurements: Flowers are approximately 1 1/4" wide. Hoop is about 1". They hang 2" long.
